Introduction 6-chloroimidazo [1,2-b] pyridazine is a pyridazine compound. Pyridazine is a kind of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds, which is an important chemical intermediate, pyridazine derivatives also have good mesogenic properties as organic liquid crystals, and some pyridazine derivatives are also important dye intermediates.
preparation to 2-chloroacetaldehyde (55.1g,386mmol) 6-chloropyridazin-3-amine (5G, 38.6mmol) was added and heated to 100 °c for 5 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated, suspended in water and extracted with ethyl acetate. The aqueous layer was neutralized with NaHCO3 solution, and the resulting solid was filtered and washed with cold water to give, after drying, 6-chloroimidazo [1,2-b] pyridazine (3G, 51%), is a light brown solid.
